Yuri Seliverstov. Portraits of great Russian thinkers.

August 7, 2010 would be seventy years old Yuri Ivanovich Seliverstov - a beautiful artist and passionate thinker. He has not been with us for twenty years, but his thought and a brilliant gallery of portraits of Russian philosophers, poets, prose writers, composers
(and he knew that our thought is full
only in the unity of the context) is alive and active.

In the late 1980s, Yuri Seliverstov started the main work of his life - he created a series of portraits that he himself labeled "Portraits of Russian thinkers in letters, articles and simple reflections composed by Yuri Seliverstov in the book" ... From the Russian Duma ". Pavel Florensky, Vladimir Soloviev, Vasily Rozanov, Pushkin, Chaadaev, Dostoevsky, Gogol - these portraits represent a fusion of literature and fine art, through each face a face emerges, through strokes - a thought. Each work as a condensed narrative and the definition of the true place of the writer and thinker in Russian spiritual and artistic history. The portraits of the great, iconic personalities of Russian philosophical thought, created by Yuri Seliverstov, begin to live on their own. They are already impossible to associate with a simple, albeit brilliantly executed drawing. You look into any portrait and you do not see any technique, no strokes, no composition. Exactly open invisible temporary portals, through which from the depths of years rushes to you, now living, concentrated, encrypted the true essence of being. (According to V. Ganichev)

Kudesnitsa - Winter photographer under the name JAndrei.

Kudesnitsa - Winter today reigns ball-
Diamonds, pearls and crystal burn!
The palace has cleaned its magic coverlet,
Gray-haired people ate in fur coats, as watchmen stand.
There is a buzzing, a blizzard, a solemn vocal,
Snowflakes in white dresses, waltz, fly ...
